Mandira Bedi is in the news for performing the last rites of her husband Raj Kaushal. While some are praising her for breaking the age-old gender stereotype, some are also trolling her for the same.
TV celebs including actress Shweta Tiwari, Dalljiet Kaur, Mini Mathur, Mukti Mohan, and others have come out in her support. Shweta took to her Instagram handle and lent support to Mandira saying, “@MandiraBedi we are with you and proud of you for expressing your love freely!”
Actress Dalljiet Kaur also supported Mandira and shared her views on the trolling she is facing in such tough times. She wrote, “My deepest respect for @mandirabedi. Her decision to break this stereotype is commendable. May God give her the inner strength needed at this hour..And trolls?? They will never want people to “Let them just be”.”
Dancer and actress Mukti Mohan also shared a post in support of the actress. She took to her Instagram account and shared, “Women are half of humanity, half of humanity has remained undignified, uneducated, deprived of freedom, we’ve hampered and handicapped ourselves. WE ARE THE REFLECTION OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AROUND US!! And we have destroyed half of ourselves and if we are in misery then who is to be blamed? Ask yourselves next time when you face such situations daughters, sisters, wives, mothers and sons of such mothers, brothers of such sisters when YOU are questioned when you want to grieve /express/love freely!! Mandira Bedi’s husband and filmmaker Raj Kaushal passed away on June 30 after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. Celebs including Ronit Roy, Ashish Choudhary, Apura Agnihotri and others visited her house to pay their condolences.
Raj Kaushal, who died at the age of 50, is survived by his wife Mandira Bedi and kids Vir, Tara.
