SWASAN : THE KISS THAT I HATE THE MOST (Chapter 59)

The next few days have been very hectic to swara as she tried to manage both office and home, and she also took utmost care about sanskaar’s health which resulted positively, sanskar is completely out of danger and swara couldn’t be any happier….. She also managed ragini and laksh’s wedding preparations……

Both the families decided to have all the pre wedding functions in Mumbai and wedding in Shekhar’s home town according to shekhar’s mother’s wish….. Though swara is against it, she didn’t voice her thoughts as she had had enough of it from her brother last time…… Swara is not ready to execute sanskaar’s plan though she agreed to him but shekhar too said that it will be the best thing to teach laksh a lesson for life and finally she gave in unwillingly…… She behaved normally with laksh and laksh is actually shocked to know that his sister forgave him……. He thanked her and promised her that he wouldn’t repeat it again but he didn’t know that his sister’s heart is still bleeding from the wounds he gave her a few days ago…… Swara tried to forgive laksh as she is against the idea of faking it but she just couldn’t, she wanted to satisfy her inner monsters by hurting laksh in the same way…. It sounded wrong to her but with sanskaar and her father beside her, she completely overcame that feeling……

It’s the evening before ragini’s mehandi and also last day of swara in the office…..

Sanskaar held the press meet and announced swara as his wife and also the assistant director of Maheshwari empire…. Though she is very uncomfortable with paparazzi, she nailed it with sanskaar beside her….. The answers she gave not only shut their(media) mouths but also gained an impressive look from business associates and partners of Maheshwari empire…… Sanskaar is proud of swara and also of his decision….. Dp, annapurna, ragini and laksh who has attended the press conference expressed their happiness and wished best for swara…..

Later after a small board meeting, everyone dispersed to their places to look after the wedding arrangements……

Next day morning….

Waking up sanskar is the toughest job according to swara…… She woke up early and checked the arrangements once again and after making breakfast and arranging the dining table, she marched to her room to wake up her monster husband who is sleeping peacefully after torturing her the whole night….. “You enjoyed it though “her inner voice reminded her…. She blushed at the thought but shut it down and made her way to the bed and started her usual ranting…..

Swara(patting sanskar’s chest) – sanskaar, please wake up, you can sleep as much as u can after the function……

Sanskar(sleepy voice) – please swara, let me sleep, I have to attend some meetings after the function if u remember……

Swara – then u can sleep at night but please wake up now……

Sanskar(pulling her on to him and opening his eyes) – I couldn’t just sleep at night with you beside me….. You provoke me to do the things sacrificing my sleep……

Swara(blushes) – shut up and wake up….

Sanskar pulls her into a rough kiss and she too responds almost immediately deepening the kiss….. Soon the kiss turns into a small yet passionate love making session…… And both have shower together as sanskar isn’t willing to leave her yet and swara too felt the same attraction towards her handsome husband…..

After getting ready, both of them descended the stairs and swara is shocked to see her family and relatives sitting there and her mother glaring her….. She felt like dejaavu….. That’s when she realized the time, it’s been 3 hours she went to wake up sanskar……

Swara(jerking sanskar’s hand and whispers) – you are not touching me till ragini’s marriage……

Sanskar gives a puppy look to swara but she in return glares at him and leaves from there…..

Swara arranged everything and swasan greeted their relatives, meanwhile Annapurna came and asked swara and sanskar to have their breakfast and both of them obliged as they are famished…..

After sometime, mehandi function started and all the ladies applied mehandi on their hands…… Swara said that she will apply later as there are many works to be handled but sanskar dp and Annapurna forced her to apply mehandi….. And to convince her, all the men in the house promised to handle the work till the mehandi dries….. Though swara knows it’s difficult, she agrees as it would be fun to watch the men struggling to do all the chores……

The function came to an end and relatives and other guests left to their places leaving the two families to bond….. Avi, maggie, riya, parth and vivek are also present at the function…..

As promised, men did all the chores giving women their much needed rest…….. They fed their respective partners after that….. To tease avi, swara asked vivek to feed maggie winking at him, vivek and parth understood the whole thing and acted accordingly, when riya asked avi to feed her, he just got pissed and went away giving an angry glare to maggie…..Where as Maggie looked at his retreating figure with a wide smile on her face as this is the first time avi has expressed his feelings,  his annoyance conveyed his liking towards her…… Swara,riya, vivek and parth burst out laughing looking at her face and she hid her face embarrassed…..

Sanskar, laksh and ragini are confused….. As they don’t know about the whole fiasco…..

Sanskaar – r we missing something  ??

Maggie – no…. Nothing…..

Swara – what a quick reply  ?? Usually u wouldn’t like to answer someone’s questions unless they are directed towards u…..

Vivek – I agree with Sammy…..

maggie – u agree with sammy all the time vivek  ?? what’s new here  ??

parth – ur behaviour, it’s so new to us lately……..

maggie(fumbles) – wh..what’s so new about it  ?? i am completely normal…yes i am normal…….

sanskar joins the dots and he gets the point followed by two other tube lights(laksh and ragini)

Sanskar (smirks) – Don’t tell me ?? (swara nods) avi……….. seriously……

sanskar burst into laughter followed by swara,riya and laksh…… as they knew how avi felt about these things……

sanskar – but swara this is so wrong, y r u teasing him ?? u should be helping him now  ??

swara(smirks) – i thought i am sanskar…….

Sanskar(smiles) – i get it…. he will realize it soon, i am gonna help him……(to maggie) maggie get ready to say yes to my friend……..he winks at swara and goes to avi and swara smiles at her husband’s love guru avtar………she knew sanskar is gonna have a talk with avi about his feelings…….

sanskar had a talk with avi and he confessed that he likes maggie and after getting the much needed advice from sanskar, he decided to propose her after the wedding, soon both the men walked inside and avi tried to behave normally with everyone and after having some fun, they called it a night…….

the next day is the sangeet  and when they are preparing for it, laksh expressed that he wanted to dance with his sister….. swara thought to avoid it by saying that he would be dancing with ragini and another performance would strain him but laksh requested that he will manage it, he said that it’s his dream to have a dance with her in his marriage…. swara didn’t has the heart to disappoint her baby brother so she said yes but seeing laksh smile so broadly, something in her broke imagining his smile fading away after he gets to know that she actually didn’t forgive him……. she thought to talk to sanskar about it but all got busy in their works and she dispersed the thoughts……

everyone enjoyed sangeet to their fullest and all the relatives, business associates  and family friends of maheswari family attended the sangeet as it’s a very grand event followed by reception……later everyone dispersed to their rooms as they have to start early towards shekhar’s home town….. though swara hated the idea, sanskar convinced her…….. sanskar observed swara is upset over something and thought to ask about it…………

sanskar – swara…..is there something that’s bothering u  ??

swara – hmmmm…….. I can’t pull this act anymore sanskar…… I can’t break laksh’s heart like that, tomorrow i will tell him the truth…… I am angry with him for saying all those things and he has to try hard to get my forgiveness, i am going to show him my anger and he has to convince me and make me forgive him….. this is the right way, hurting him the same way he did to me is not going to help me sansar, in fact that thought makes me sick of myself and pity him…… i don’t wanna pity my brother, i want to forgive him and i think even u all wanted the same…..

sanskar – Hmmm…. u r right…… even i think so but  did u observe one thing  ?? because of ur this act, laksh and ragini are able to enjoy their pre-wedding functions this much, if not, laksh would be begging u forgiveness for every now and then and they would have missed the most important phase of their life…….so i suggest u to continue this for some more days…… i mean after the wedding they would be leaving for their honeymoon, after their return u could tell them the truth….. what’s say  ??

swara thinks  for a while……

sanksar (cupping her face)  as i told u, this is my suggestion, if u wanted to tell the truth tomorrow itself, then i won’t stop u, I will always be there for u……

Swara -I know sanskar….. and u r right……. I would continue this for some more time…… I don’t want them upset at this time…….

sanskar (kissing her forehead) – come, take some rest….. we have to start early in the morning and u won’t get enough sleep…..

swara(winks at him) – i will sleep in the car then, anyways I am not the one who would be driving……..

sanskar (shocked) – u can’t do that to me…….if u sleep, i will get bored throughout the drive……

swara – i am kidding sanskar…… i am still saying, u don’t have to drive, just call ur driver, u will have a lot of work tomorrow……i don’t want u to strain urself with the drive…….

sanskar – huh….. okay then will inform him….. now let’s sleep……

swara(pecks his lips) – i love u……

sanskar smiles and pulls her to him and both sleeps peacefully in each other’s embrace…….

next day

everyone wakes up early in the morning and starts  to shekhar’s home town….. avi and shekhar reached the place the previous night and looked after the arrangements, sanskar hired a few people to help them with the preparations and shekhar is very thankful for it……. everyone reached the place and got ready for the marriage……

swara helped ragini in getting ready and after instructing the make up artists, she went to laksh after informing sanskar as she decided to be with laksh at this time….. though she is angry with him at that moment she couldn’t forget that she is his sister and she should be with him at this time…….

avi, vivek and parth thanked  her as laksh is going crazy with nervousness and they couldn’t handle him anymore…..swara went to him and arranged his sherwani and and pagri……

Swara(cupping his face) – lucky…..don’t be nervous okay  ?? everything will be fine….. u will do it very well…..u will be the best husband to ragini, u will never disappoint her….. u remember, though we used to fight every minute, u never failed to protect me…… u never failed as a son, brother and a friend and u will never fail as a husband too….. u will look after ragini very well……. okay….. calm down now…..hm  ??

laksh(hugging her) – thank you di……. i love u and i am sorry for everything i told u…… but remember one thing, I never meant any of it….. I love u so much come whatever may…….

swara – i know lucky……i know and i love u too…….. now come it’s time for baaraat……

@ragini’s room

Ap and dp had a very emotional conversation with their daughter and after a while they left the room as it’s time for baarat……

sanskar came there and sat beside ragini……

Sanskar (teary eyes) – nervous  ??

ragini – ha bhai……

sanskar – don’t be…..u will be fine….. don’t forget u have a brother who will do anything for u….. i know laksh and his family will take care of u very well but if at all u need something then don’t bother asking me okay  ?? u r my sister and u have complete right on me…… u can share anything with me ragini….. i know we ind of drifted apart after i took over dad’s company, i know i became egoistic but ur bhabhi changed me raagu….. Now I am ur brother first, egoistic sanskar maheshwari is long gone…..u remember, when we were kids how i used to protect u, how i used to give all my toys and chocolates to u just for ur smile…… I became the sam eone now….. I am sorry that u missed ur brother all these years, to be frank….. i don’t want u to go away from me this soon…… It’s like i just started to know my sister and they are taking u away from me……..(two drops fell from his eyes)

ragini hugs sanskar and cries hard….. it’s been years that sanskar had voiced out his affection for her and this feeling overwhelmed her……

Ragini – thanks bhai and u needn’t be sorry…… u alwayd took care of me and i am very happy to be ur sister………

here laksh and his family started towards the function hall with loud music and dancing all the way…..

after reaching the venue, the rituals for marriage had started…. and swara had been participating in the rituals actively but that’s when she felt a little dizzy but ignored it and continued her works……. but suddenly a thought struck her, her period has never been late but this month it’s 20 days past the due date and this raised her suspicion, she thought to talk to sanskar about it after the varmala function…….

after varmala, the bride and groom are sent to their respective rooms and that’s when she approached sanskar……

Swara – sanskar, i need to talk to u about something very important….

Sanksar(worried) – is everything fine  ??

swara – yeah i guess…….umm I am feeling a little dizzy lately and…..

Sanskar – what  ?? come let’s see a doctor….. u were not that weak generally………

swara – that’s what i am saying….. but i think there is no need to see doctor immediately……um actually i missed my period…… um i think i am pregnant…… u know na my period is never late…….

sanskar(kissing her lips) – u think so ??(swara nods)i will get the pregnancy kit, just test it okay  ??

Swara – but what about the marriage  ??

sanskar(messaging someone) – there is still sometime for it…..(kissing her forehead) take some rest, sit inside, i will be right back…….

swara – sanskar, let’s keep it to ourselves till the results  ??i don’t want anyone to get disappointed…..

Sanskar(smiling widely) – u r the mother swara, when u can feel our child then it must be true but as u say, let’s wait for the results okay  ??

swara hugged sanskar and then he left to get the kit……..

after sometime, sanskar gets back with different kinds of pregnancy testing kits and asks her to test and swara obliges though gets pissed off…….. she tests and all shows positive…….. she informas sanskar and he is over the moon hearing it……. both decides to inform their families soon after the marriage………

sharmishta comes and playfully scolds swara as there are many works to be done and suddenly she disappeared, sanskar thought to intervene but swara stopped him and went with her mother……..

after sometime, it’s time for the bride to enter and swara goes to get ragini…… she makes ragini sit near the sacred fire and is about to move back but her sari gets stuck under the brick and she is about to fall down the stage but laksh catches her hand and immediately helps her to stand properly……. sanskar, avi, shekhar and everyone rushes swara…… swara keeps her hand on her belly and a tear drop slips from her eye followed by many…… sanskar understands that her fear of losing the baby made her so emotional and so he hugs tightly and brings her down…. laksh gets suspicious as he knew his sister is not that sensitive to cry over something lie this……..

laksh(worried) – shona, are u fine  ?? y r u crying  ??

swara(wiping her tears) – i am fine lucky, fine because of u……

Laksh nods and sits beside ragini and the marriage rituals starts…..

all the time sanskar held swara tightly as she is shivering lightly and swara felt safe in his arms…… she smiled at the completion of the wedding and looked at sanskar with eyes full of love…… and that smile she gave looking at laksh made sanskar clear of her thoughts…….

Sanskar(smiles) – i assume u forgave laksh  ??

swara(whispers) – i did…..wholeheartedly……he saved my baby sanskar and i didn’t forgive him because of that, i forgave him because i understood that how much we may hurt each other, at the end of the day we are brother and sister….. and we are meant to protect each other…… my baby taught me that irrespective of our differences, his mamu will always be there for for his mother……

Sanskar(whispers back) – by the way, how did u decide that it’s him and not her….

swara – i don’t know, u can call it a mother’s instinct……and i badly wanted a boy……..

sanskar – and i badly wanted a girl……

swara(smiles) – let’s see then……

after the marriage and other customs, everyone leaves to kolkata and retires to their homes after the bidaai and grihpravesh rituals….. as there is the grand reception the next day……

next morning @ Maheshwari residence

ragini came for pag phere ritual and on sansar’s insistence dp invited gadodia family and vi’s family too……. swara’s friends are also present there…….

after the breakfast sanskar announced the news to the families and everyone are on cloud nine…….

laksh(hugging swara) – that is y u cried yesterday……. u were afraid of……

swara(nods) – ha lucky, but u saved me…… thank you so much and i also wanted to tell u something more…… when i said i forgave u, i didn’t actually mean it….. i…..(she tells their whole plan of making him suffer) we thought to teach u a lesson but yesterday i realized that it’s highly impossible to teach u a lesson….. whatever we may do, we both will fight through our entire lives…… because those fights are our love…… we hurt each other so much but at the end of the day we are each other’s back when needed…… it’s all that matters……. u know when u said all those words, i am afraid to forgive u as if i did, u will hurt me again and again but now i am not afraid of it…… (holding sanskar’s hands) my husband will handle me in any situation, he can bring me back to normal whatever may happen……

laksh(shocked) – u think i will hurt u again  ??

swara – I don’t think so lucky……..i know so…..u will definitely hurt me and i will too…… and both this brother and sister will handle us…… won’t u  ??

sanskar & ragini – of course……..

@evening

swara-sanskar, dp-ap, shekhar-sharmishta, and other relatives welcome the guests, colleagues and business partners in the reception…… sanskar makes sure that swara doesn’t get too worked up…… and after almost all the guests left with only family members, avi proposes maggie and she immediately accepts as she too loves him…… all are so happy about it and though avi’s father is a little apprehensive about the relation, his mother convinces him and this brings some change in avi’s demeanor towards his mother…… though he is now being polite to his mother as a result of swara’s continuous persistence, he did not forgive his mother completely…. but now he started seeing how changed his mother is……

and after the grand reception, laksh and ragini left to their honey moon and all are returned from the airport after sending them off and had some peaceful sleep after many days……..
