The FIRST TIME THEY MET

Indian TV has numerous stories of artists falling in love with each other on the sets of their shows and Nach Baliye 8 participants Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani are no different. They may not have won the season, but they managed to win many hearts just by being supportive and madly in love with each other. Sanaya debuted on TV as Cadet Sameera Shroff in SAB TV’s Left Right Left Season 2, while Mohit’s debut vehicle was Miley Jab Hum Tum on Star One. The two actors met on the sets of Mohit’s debut show where they played onscreen lovers.

How the ICE BROKE

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Sanaya recalled the first time she met Mohit. He was seated on a chair, a little nervous, intently listening to the script’s brief. Soon, she joined the director and Mohit in this meeting. Once the meeting came to an end, something completely unexpected happened. Both them looked at each other and burst out laughing. To date, they don’t know why that happened.

Love Happened!!

While they discovered an instant connect, it took them more than three months to actually become friends and then a couple of others to fall in love. They kept their relationship under wraps and made it official only once the show ended. However, their real-life chemistry had already become the talk of the town. Not just their co-stars, but fans too knew about their relationship.

Once they made their relationship public, Mohit, in an interview, had revealed that he took the first step. He said “I declared the love after the first season and Arjun Bijlani was the first to know because he always used to tease Sanaya and me saying that there is something going on between me and her… And finally, when we told him that we want to say something, he just asked us ‘what? That you guys are in love with each other?’ for which we couldn’t say anything because we were taken aback by his question.” LOL, poor Monaya.

Engagement

In December 2015, the TV sweethearts had an intimate engagement ceremony at Mohit’s Delhi residence. Days after this, on January 25, 2016, they got married in a beautiful beach ceremony in Goa. The wedding was attended by the who’s who of TV, including Roshni Chopra, Drashti Dhami, Arjun Bijlani, Akshay Dogra, and Raqesh Vashisth.

Normally the pheras take place with the partners walking behind each other. However, there was a twist in the tale here. Sanaya and Mohit took their pheras while walking with each other. It just goes on to say that Mohit and Sanaya consider themselves to be equal partners in this relationship with no one being better than the other.
