18 years of Kasautii ZIndagii Kay; Stars get nostalgic

It was way back in 2001 October when we first saw the epic love story of Anurag and Prerna begin. Ekta Kapoor brought to TV one of the most popular TV shows in Indian telly, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. With Shweta Tiwari as Prerna Sharma, Cezzane Khan as Anurag Basu, Urvashi Dholakia as Komolika Majumdar and Ronit Roy as Rishabh Bajaj, the show carved a place for itself and quickly made it’s mark in the hearts of viewers.

As the show marks it’s 18 years today, the cast is nostalgic and so is Ekta Kapoor. Taking to her Instagram account, Ekta wrote, “18 years ago I launched two shows on d same day oct 29 th! Both busted d rating charts ! One on SONY #kutumb n one on star #kasautiizindagiikay ! Thanku audience teams Channels ! Always grateful credit: @balajitelefilmslimited… With over 153 awards and 172 nominations, #KasautiiZindagiiKay remains to be one of the most loved shows on the Indian Television. The show recorded one of the highest TRPs at that time. A reboot of the show, also titled Kasautii Zindagii Kay, is currently going on air. Starring Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes, the show is gathering acoolades as well.
